The Lake

The lake area also has some beautiful waterfalls like the Alva Adamsfalls or the nearby Mt Adams falls. The Lone Pine Lake is roughly about 5.5 miles in but the view is worth it. Then if you aren't too tired there is also the option to keep going up to Lake Verna. The lake is located at 12,260 ft and the Andrews Peak shows over the water on the other side. After your long hike make sure that you take the time to cool off by putting your feet in the lake or just go for a swim the water heats up pretty nice and is perfect for taking a dip.
